Dickensian Evening, Tavistock

For those holidaymakers looking for an exciting event to attend in Devon over Christmas then this evening has to be the one. This evening is the highlight of the Tavistock calendar and involves traders and shoppers dressing up in Victorian costume to signify the beginning of late night shopping in the run up to Christmas. As well as the people dressing up in costumes, there are also a number of other things available which help to give a real Christmassy feel to the town such as roast chestnuts, carol singers, a brass band, steam engines. Christmas Markets
